After several consultations with various stakeholders, the electoral committee of the Lagos State Football Coaches Association (LSFCA) has finally settled and agreed to use the National Institute for Sports (NIS) Conference Hall for the forthcoming 2026 LSFCA Elections.
The much-anticipated LSFCA Elections will be held Saturday at the conference Hall of NIS by 9 am, with different activities lined up for the elections.
The arrival of the accredited delegates, invited guests and observers would begin by 9:30am.The chairman electoral committee,Lanre Olojo-Kosoko would make his welcome address around 10:20 before proceeding to speech by invited guests.
Olojo-Kosoko would also read the electoral guidelines and voting procedures to the candidates and accredited delegates before going to voting excercise.
According to the order of programmes copied our correspondent, the voting proper commnces by 11:30am and finishes by 1pm.
A total of 13 candidates would be fighting for the twelve executive seats and only two candidates would fight for the position of Training Officer.
Fatai Akande and Abiodun Salau would contest for the position of Training Officer while there is no contest in other positions.
Meanwhile the Electoral Committee has sent invitation letters to the national executive and Southwest zone cordinators of the association and they are expected to be on ground and monitor the elections.
Olojo-Kosoko in his message, admonished the candidates and delegates to see this election a friendly not a do die affairs and warned that any candidate or accredited delegate found wanting before during or after the election would be punished and sanctioned accordingly.
