Hephzibah Football Club will hit Abeokuta, Ogun State today ahead of the Southwest 1 final play-off of Nationwide League One, NLO scheduled to commence on Saturday at MKO Abiola Stadium Arena.
A 24-man Hephzibah Squad and six officials would depart Lagos today in readiness for tomorrow’s match against Franceex United.
Hephzibah Boys qualified for final play off with three other teams in Lagos.Hephzibah would play against Franceex United in their opening match,face Ablaze FC on Monday by 1pm and play their last match against Ikorodu City Football Academy on Wednesday morning by 11am.
A group winner at Abeokuta centre is automatically qualify for the Nigeria National League NNL comes next season.
The four teams zoned at Abeokuta centre would fight for a slot to the NNL in the five days of action.
Speaking about the team’s chances, general manager of Hephzibah, Abegunde John expressed confidence in the ability of the coaching crew and players saying that the team are ready to make their fans happy in Abeokuta.
“The team just finished their last training this morning and we are hitting Abeokuta today so we are going with 24 players and six officials.Presently the players are in high spirit and they are ready to give their best in all the three matches,”he said.
Speaking in the same vein, chief coach of the team, Ogundare Olushola boasted that they are not going to make number in Abeokuta rather to pick a sole ticket in the zone.
“We are ready for the final Playoff.We have come a long way and we cannot afford to lose NNL ticket.We faced a lot of challenges in our past matches and we are committed to pick the sole ticket in Abeokuta,”he said.
