Grassroots Coach Unveils Vision For Youth Football Academy

Chief Coach of 201/202 Football Academy, Austin Okhade, has revealed the vision and objectives driving the 10-year-old football academy dedicated to nurturing young talents between the ages of five and 15.

Speaking at the team’s training ground located at 201 Road Junction, FESTAC in Lagos, Okhade said the academy was established to develop talented youngsters and prepare them for professional football careers in the future.

The coach, fondly known as “Austino” by his players, stressed that his commitment to the academy is driven by passion for children and love for the game, rather than financial gain.

He dismissed claims that the academy exploits parents financially, explaining that he personally commits both time and resources to ensure the growth of the team.

According to him, parents also contribute in their own little ways, although additional financial support is still needed to acquire more training equipment and improve the development of the players.

“I spend my time and money on this team, while parents also support us as much as they can, but we still need more funds to procure additional training equipment,” he said.
