The first-ever edition of the FIBA Masters Open will see thousands of players stepping out this year in the Attica and Corinth region of Greece from July 4 to 12, just one hour from Athens’ airport, and you have the chance to be a part of basketball history.

The moment the global basketball community aged 40+ has been waiting for has finally arrived, with team registration for the event now officially underway, including an early bird rate available until February 28.

Open to basketball and 3×3 teams from around the world for an exceptional week of competition, friendship, and a celebration of how basketball has the power and unique ability to unite people, the FIBA Masters Open 2026 promises an unforgettable experience off the court also in an iconic location.

The FIBA Masters Open 2026 is not limited to national teams or former professional players. The primary eligibility criteria is age, and any player who meets it can participate. Additionally, more than one team per country is welcome.

The inaugural FIBA Masters Open, organized with the Hellenic Basketball Federation and supported by the regions of Attica and Corinth, will offer participants a festive atmosphere and a high-quality, competitive setting. The event welcomes players of all backgrounds – from lifelong enthusiasts to former competitive athletes who continue to embrace the game.

Participants can look forward to high-level indoor venues, experienced officiating crews, and a vibrant festival atmosphere, along with opportunities for cultural exploration, beachside relaxation, and local hospitality. All of this wrapped into a weeklong celebration of basketball passion and the chance to connect with like-minded people who share a love for the sport.

With limited places available and the event operating on a first-come, first-served basis, early registration is strongly advised.

Global interest is already high, with 190 teams pre-registered, and for every team registering for the event, €100 will be donated to the FIBA Foundation, the social and legacy arm of FIBA, to ensure that the love of the game continues to uplift people around the world.

Registration will close at the end of April, with an early bird rate available until the end of February.
