The facilities that benefited from the solar installations include the Badagry Heritage Museum, the Vlekete Slave Market, and the Tourist Information Centre in Badagry.
She noted that the solar power systems were completed under the supervision of the Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to ensure quality delivery and sustainability.

Mrs. Benson-Awoyinka, explained that the intervention became necessary due to the persistent epileptic power supply affecting key tourism sites within Badagry.
“To bridge the gap and address the recurring complaints from tourists and visitors over power challenges at these sites, the Ministry sought an alternative energy solution to guarantee uninterrupted services,” she added.
