Organisers of the ongoing Football Fiesta have urged the remaining teams to avoid social vices or football violence during or after their match.
A total of 22 teams began the competition which kicked off three weeks ago at the Sabsan football pitch, Igando, Alimosho Lagos.
Match coordinator, Habeeb Bello made this disclosure while chatting with our correspondent ahead of the third round which begins on Wednesday.
Bello said the competition has reached the knockout stage and urged the teams to always abide by the rules governing the tournament.
He explained further that the competition has produced young talents and it would be a huge disappointment and a serious setback if the competition is marred by violence during the third round.
“We the organisers have reviewed the tournament and we have come out to plead with the teams to talk to their fans or followers during the third rounds matches.
On our part, we are going to put security measure in place to forestall any form of violence and we are ready to stage hitch free tournament,”he said.
In the third round fixtures release by the organisers.Two matches would be played on Wednesday when King FC face FC Baku by 2pm as Casamigoos Sports battle Balo FC by 4pm.
On Friday, Bucknor face Prime by 2pm,while Future Stars Feeders tackle Wolves by 4pm.
Two matches would hold on Sunday when IGFC tackle Unity FC by 2pm as defending champions, Sansan Boys battle Mbah Logistics FC by 4pm.
