Jameria Harmony Cup Enters Q-Finals, Organisers Caution Teams Against Violence

The ongoing Jameria Harmony Football Tournament has entered the quarter final stage at the Harmony football pitch, Ayobo, Ipaja, Lagos.

A total of 16 teams began the journey two weeks ago and only eight teams have booked their place in the quarter final stage.

In the quarter final fixtures released by the organisers, Trojans FA face defending champions, Brave FA on Saturday by 2pm,while Power Rangers FA battle Gunners FA by 4pm.

Action resumes on Sunday when Ultimate Stars FC tackle Grace United FC by 2pm as Orphiel FC confront Dei Gratia FA by 4pm.

Match Cordinator,Olumide Ajayi cautioned the remaining teams against soccer violence saying that any team found wanting would be sanctioned accordingly.

At the coaching seminar held on Wednesday, Ajayi reminded the club owners and coaches to educate their players how to conduct themselves during the game noted that the organisers would not tolerate any form of indiscipline throughout the competition.

He, however, congratulated the quarter finalists for their job well done in the group stage and wished them all the best in their outings.

“We are now in the crucial stage of the competition and we want to admonish our coaches,club owners,players and supporters to shun violence during the game and always abide by the rules and regulations guiding the competition,” he said.
