A member of Lagos State House of Assembly, Kehinde Joseph, has commended the finalists for their spirit of sportsmanship displayed and impressive performance at the just concluded U-15 and free age Prince Gas football tournament held at Sansan playground, Igando, Lagos.
In U-15 category, Super Accurate of Ikotun defeated Future Hero of Aboru 2-0, while Premier Skills of Agege humbled Super Accurate 3-0 to emerge as champions.
Joseph who was among the invited guests expressed satisfaction with the performance of the finalists noted that grassroots football is growing fast in the state.
He, however, commended the organisers for their commitment to the grassroots football saying that the state government would continue to create enabling environment to ensure that the talented players are brought to the limelight.
In his response, match Cordinator, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi thanked the lawmaker and other invited guests for taking their time to witness the closing ceremony.
“It was a successful final and I must thank our invited guests for honouring our finals. I also thank Mr Fuit Company and other individual sponsors for their financial and moral support to make this year’s edition a huge success,” he concluded.
