Defending champions, B-united Football Academy, began their title defence at the ongoing U-15 Seamoriow football championship with a barren draw against Miracle Football Academy.
The two teams met in last year’s final, which ended 2-1 in favour of B United to emerge as champions.
Their encounter on Tuesday morning was watched by a mammoth crowd but failed to produce a single goal throughout the duration.
Although the fans who watched the encounter at the Seamoriow Sports Complex, Abaranje Road, Alimosho, Lagos were very impressed with the performance of the two teams and described the game tough one of all matches played so far.
Speaking after the match, B United coach Femi Durosomo still commended his players despite the outcome of the match.
He argued that his boys played better but admitted that his team still need to work hard on the goal scoring.
“It was not a bad start for us as defending champions, although fans expected us to win, but they forgot that our opponents are the team we beat in last year’s final, so they came with everything against us, but thank God that it ended in a stalemate,” he said.
In other matches, Sammy suffered a 4-1 defeat against Dynamic, while Dazzle FA walloped Pumah 3-0, as Vi- Foot FA thrashed Royalty Athletic 3-0.
Four matches would be held on Wednesday, starting from morning till afternoon.
