Residents of 201 and 202 Roads in Festac Town, Lagos state, have hailed the Prince Lanre Sanusi (PLS)-led executives of Amuwo – Odofin Local Government (AOLG) for dislodging the miscreants on the 2nd Avenue Road and also clearing shanties on the avenue.
Some of the residents, who spoke with our correspondent, while the exercise was being carried out on Tuesday, praised LG for doing the needful because those hibernating there were security threats, and they also indulge in the sales of illicit drugs.
The clearing of the shanties and miscreants was carried out by a government task force, involving the Nigeria Police, who apprehended someone pretending to be a madman who had in his possession several students’ identity cards, ATM cards and a lot of female things.
While showering encomium on the local government area, Mr Joshua Ladipo disclosed that several petitions were written to different concerned authorities, yet nothing was done until the new chairman came on board.

To Dr Chuks Njoku, appreciation should also go to the councilor representing Ward K, Hon. Egobi Daniel (EOD), for expediting the petition in making the cleaning exercise a success.
According to him, “On behalf of all the concerned residents, I want to say a big thank you to Hon Egobi Daniel for bringing this cleaning exercise to fruition. We wish him and other Honourables all the best as they set to make Festac Town and Amuwo Odofin look good again.
