A total of 20 qualified teams would begin their hostilities in the group stage of the 1XBET Community Cup scheduled to kick off on 12 August,2025 at the Nitel Playground, Oshodi,Lagos.
The draw ceremony of the competition was conducted on Wednesday at Ikeja in a free and fair atmosphere as club representatives applauded the organisers for the job well done.
Five clubs were drawn in each group and only best two teams from the four groups would qualify for the quarter final stage.
Group A consist of Community Gunners FC,36 Lion FC, Collins Edwin FA,Africano FA and Nathaniel Boys FC.Group B are made up of Emaljus FC, Ikorodu City FA,G.Innovation FC, Young Strikers FA and ECAS FA.
Group C comprises of Emiloju FC,Dosu Joseph FA, Utility Sports FC,Soccer Cardinal and ISAGT, while group D are defending champions, FC Bethel, Inspire FA, Divine Praise FC,Vinmo Energy FC and Brighton FA.
Tournament Coordinator, Waheed Akanni expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the draws and urged the participating teams not to see a competition a do or die affairs.
He also commended the match officials,media and other members of organising committee for their commitment during the qualifying stages saying that the group stage would be better organised.
