No fewer than 23 teams have confirmed their readiness to take part in the forthcoming Bet9ja Ibeju-Lekki Cup which kicks off this month.
This was disclosed by chairman organising committee, Victor Akinmoyo while chatting with our correspondent recently in Lagos.
He explained that within two weeks, more than 20 teams have shown interest in the competition saying that only few slots are available for the intrested clubs.
“Presently I can tell you that we have 23 teams registered and confirmed for the competition.Don’t forget that we are targeting 32 teams so we have few slots up for grabs,” he said.
Akinmoyo who doubles as Leader of Ibeju-Lekki Football Coaches Council noted that the inaugural edition would shake Lekki-Ibeju and its environs and promised all the participating teams fair officiating and hitch free tournament.
Among the teams registered for the tournament are Amuludun FA from Ikorodu,Golden Star FC from Badore Ajah,Sunrise FC from Elepete Phase 1,De Ultimate Soccer Academy, from Awoyaya, Ibeju Lekki,AS Strikers FA from Oribanwa,Noble 5 Star FC from Elesekan,Onye-ball Football Academy from Onidobo and De potters Football academy from Epe
Others are Zion FC from Badore Ajah,FC Middlewell from Lagos Island, EL Cadiz FC from Lafenwa and Achievers Diamond FC from Ogombo,
Also registered are Tickko FC from Adeba,Elite Football Club from Adeba,Addington FA from Awoyaya, Shinning Star FC from Abule Pan, Ibeju Lekki,Star to be academy from Abule Pan, Ibeju Lekki,Wasola FC from Sura ,Selector Soccer Academy from Ajah Alaguntan and FC Royal Asterisk from Emperor.
