Organisers of the ongoing Lagos State League have revealed reasons for the postponment of week 13 league matches in the men’s state league which scheduled to hold this week.
Chief Operation Officer of the league, Musbau Oseni in his statement stated that the week 13 league matches which slated to hold this week has been postponed due to President Federation cup finals holding this Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
“This is to inform all our club owners, coaches,media and fans that all week 13 matches in the men’s state league has been rescheduled to hold next week.
“This postponement becomes necessary because of the President Federation cup finals holding this weekend, Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
“The Lagos FA is the host and also it is a national event, so all hands must be on deck.The league matches will resume on Sunday,”he said.
Oseni also revealed that the Super four play offs would begin on 15 through 18 July at the FIFA legacy pitch of national stadium.
“However we also want to inform our club owners and other football stakeholders that our much anticipated Super 4 will kick off on the 15th to 18th of July, 2025 and Lagacy Pitch, National Stadium, Surulere has been secured to host the Super four.
Based on this, we will seek the support of all stakeholders to make the Super four a memorable event,”the statement reads.
