Badagry Divisional Football Association, BDFA on Sunday (tomorrow) would decorate Honourable Mobolaji Ogunlede, the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth And Social Development and the founder of RAK FOUNDATION and three other personalities with a Lifetime Achievement Awards.
The award ceremony would be concided with the Badagry League final which holds at Badagry Grammar School, Lagos.
Ogunlede would be honoured with Lifetime Achievement award because of his contribution to the youths sports and social development in Badagry and Lagos at large.
He has been very much instrumental in the development of football in the Badagry Divisional Football Association with his ongoing project the RAK LEAGUE which has been consistently rewarding and developing the division since its inception from 2019 till now.
BDFA would also honour Chief Chekwube Uzoegbo ( Eze-Chinechendo) the CEO of Chekas Group of companies and the priopertor of Chekas United Football Club of Lagos.
Uzoegbo has taken it upon himself for the past years to give back to the kids in Badagry Division Football Association with his tournament tagged THE CHEKAS KIDS CUP which is meant for the U-10,13 and 15 categories during all summer holidays
This project has involved over 10,000 kids under the Badagry division jurisdiction and creates an enabling environment for the development of the kids
Uzoegbo has always been a motivation factor to the Badagry division and has always stood beside the division in all its programmes.
Feburary 2024,he singlehandedly sponsored the local logistics of the foreign expertrate that came to the Badagry division from USA to lecture over 200 coaches on a 3D Institute Coaching Programme.
The decoration award will be presented to him at the finals of the Badagry division football Association BDFA-RAK League at Badagry grammar school.
Mr Abraham Santhosh is another personality that would be awarded Lifetime Achievement Award by the BDFA.
Abraham an inspirational, dynamic and creative entrepreneur who is the managing director of the ALZICO GROUP ATLAS
The award will be presented to him at the finals of the Badagry division football Association BDFA-RAK league.
Abraham is known for his innovative leadership and unwavering passion for football development at the grassroots level which he has supported the division in promoting and developing talents in the division jurisdiction for the past 13 years with the brand ATLAS CUP.
Furthermore Sesi Toku a renowned philanthropist and the pioneer of ECAS Football Club of Lagos is a man with integrity and huge personality and the president of Amuwo Oriade All Stars would be decorated with a Lifetime Achievement award Is under the BDFA as one of his ambassadors.
Presidor as his known by friends and close associate has given back to the division in numerous charitable ways and is ever ready to do all it takes to promote football in the Badagry division.
Sesi has always been a motivation factor to the Badagry division and has always stood beside the division in all its programmes and initiatives.
The Chairman Badagry Division Football Association Dr. Osondu Martins Ibegbu said the award is a way of appreciating Honourable ogunlede and others for what they have done for the Badagry division and Lagos State in general through their youth empowerment projects.
