Coach of Igando Football Club, Kazeem Obayemi, has expressed confidence that his boys would come out victorious when they clash with Kings FC on Sunday afternoon in the last group match of the ongoing New Revolution Tournament taking place at Egan playground, Alimosho, Lagos.
Igando have two points in their last two game an outright win on Sunday would guarantee them a place in the next round of the tournament.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s clash, Obayemi said it is unfortunate that his team have not won a match in the competition and urged his boys to go for victory against Kings FC on Sunday
“It is going to be a tough match for us because our opponents have no points in their last two matches, and they would like to cause an upset by beating us.
“On our own part, we would respect our opponents and ensure that we get the three points at the end of the game. My boys are ready and they are hungry for success,” he said.
In other matches on Sunday, LKJ face Sterling City at 10am, Vision FC tackle SPS FC by noon, while Young Riders confront Heart of Lions FA by 4pm.
Match coordinator Lucky Osewe said the tourney has lived up to expectations, saying upsets have been recorded in some matches since the competition kicked off some weeks ago.
However, he reminded the teams of the rules and regulations guiding the tournament, saying that the organisers are ready to sanction any team that foments trouble during and after the match.
