Following the defeat his team suffered in the hands of Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club, coach of Evolution United, John Nweke commended his opponents for the victory and wished to play them again in the future.
Prince Kazeem Eletu defeated Evolution United 2-1 on Friday in a friendly match held on Eagles Club sports center,Surulere, Lagos.
Nweke, while speaking with our correspondent after the match said he was satisfied with the intensity of the game and commended both teams for their impressive performance.
“It was a good match and our opponents gave us a good fight I wanted.Prince Kazeem Eletu played well and they deserved the victory.I wish to play them again because they play brand of football I like as a football club,”he said.
He, however, praised his boys despite the defeat saying that his team would have won the game but noted that some of his key players were missing in the encounter.
In the encounter watched by hundred of fans, Samuel Eze opened the goal scoring for Eletu boys in the early second half but the opponents quickly restored the parity through Babatunde Idowu in the 72th minutes.
A winning goal came from Andrew Congo who scored at the close range in the 80th minutes to give Prince Kazeem Eletu needed victory over their opponents.
Prior to this encounter, both teams have met twice in a friendly and ended in stalemate.
Coach of Prince Kazeem Eletu, Israel Adegolu hailed his boys for their brilliant performance and urged them to remain focused in their remaining friendlies.
