The table toppers in the Atlantic Conference group, Team360 Football Club of Surulere, still unbeaten run after forcing Chekas feeders to a 1-1 draw in week six of the Lagos State League.
The encounter held on Wednesday afternoon at Chekas feeders’ homeground when Daniel Adams cancelled a goal deficit in the 75th minute to give the visiting team a well-deserved equaliser. The goal was scored to cancel Amodu Idris’ earlier goal for the homers.
Reacting to the match, Team360 coach, Shola Raj,i expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the result and commended his boys for their impressive performance throughout the game.
“It was indeed a tough game for us because our opponents gave us a good fight, and I am happy that we picked up a point from the game. We came here to win, but unfortunately, we got a draw, which is still a better result for us,”he said.
Asked if his team are in a good position to qualify for the Super Four playoff, Raji said the journey has just started and admitted that the race for the Super Four playoff is still open for all the teams in the group.
“I am not thinking of the Super Four playoff now, what I am thinking is how we would do better in our next game. At this moment, my players need to be focused and determined in their remaining matches,” he said.
In another centre, Arubinjaga were on rampage following the resounding 6- 1 victory over SGH Sports in their home.
Arubinjaga technical director, Adeboye Adebayo, said it was the best game his team played so far and congratulated his the entire team for the job well done.
Meanwhile, it was a sad day for the fans of Heritage Football Academy following 1-2 defeat suffered against Bucknor at home.
The homers could not live up to expectations as Bucknor scored two goals before the homers scored a goal back.
Bucknor recorded their first win after five matches in the league, which is a moral boost for the players ahead of their next game.
After suffering 0-2 to Team360 last week at home, Young Strikers returned to winning ways on Wednesday morning, following a 3-1 victory over Lekki Junior Strikers 3-1 at Maracana Stadium.
In another match, Unizee failed to win at home after playing 1-1draw with DN10 FA.
