A trailer cargo belonging to GZI Industries limited, a can manufacturing industry based in Agbara, Ogun State on Tuesday morning at about 8:05am moved out of its lane to smash a danfo bus coming from Ojuelegba right before the Abalti Barracks in Surulere, Lagos.
The trailer which was coming from Fadeyi and driving on the sixth lane of the Funsho Williams Avenue road which has eight lanes was said to have had a brake failure, before the driver in trying to save the situation diverted to the left lain and it leaped through four lanes to smash a loading danfo bus heading towards Ikeja.
No life was lost as at press time, but this writer can confirm that there were casualties from the Danfo bus which was hit as it also smashed the wall of the Young Shall Grow Motors office situated in Ojuelegba.

Eye witness accounts confirmed that a stationed hummer bus belonging to The Young Shall Grow Motors which was loading at their office as at time the incident happened was also affected as the vehicle which suffered little damage by the side was forcefully moved back.
The incident obstructed business activities in the area as traffic was also not spared. Vehicles coming from the first lane and heading towards Mushin, Jibowu have now been diverted to the Yaba route.
Security personnel have also arrived at the scene as at press time, with men of the Nigeria Police, Lastma and soldiers from the Abalti barracks being present at the scene to ensure further damage is not recorded.
