The Imo State University Alumni Association (IMSUAA) has officially launched her Business Connect and Marketplace platform following a formal declaration made by the IMSUAA National Organizing Secretary , Mrs. Daphine Amanze (Indaphino) on Saturday.
The business platform is designed to create a platform for all Imo Stars to network and connect with each other, irrespective of diversity of location in the country and across the globe. It also gives room for members to consider seeking business and services among members first before seeking such business services outside the group.
Activities on the platform have started bubbling already following the declaration made by Mrs. Amanze on Saturday. Car dealers have dominated the platform, advertising cars of various types for those who intend to buy while respecting the rules set by the IMSUAA Business Connect/ Marketplace.
Aside from car dealers, opportunities have also been created for accessing loans as calls have been made on the platform for members who wish to get loan schemes through a Quick Loan Today programme designed by recognized financial institutions in the country.
Sales of livestock for the Easter celebration has also gone viral on IMSUAA Business/ Marketplace connect, with Port Harcourt-based Samuel White, showcasing gigantic live Turkey for sales which will help make this Easter a memorable one when patronized.
Furthermore, Lilian Ozioma Duru, a Lagos-based guru in the Travel Agency business has also thrown juicy packages on the platform, with the aid of assisting members who wish to travel both locally and internationally secure safe and cheap flight tickets from her platform.
Iheanyichukwu, a clearing and forwarding agent based in Port Harcourt has also reminded Stars that the business can be done in Rivers, despite the emergency rule in the state through his agency. He has also promised to deliver, making sure that clients get great value for their money.
The Easter Celebration will be incomplete without the use of classy footwear, belts, clothes, sunglasses and others, says Lagos-based Nneoma Uche, who is at Mandilas and has promised quality and authentic products.
The IMSUAA Business Connect/ Marketplace initiative is designed not basically for members to use for themselves alone according to Mrs. Amanze who spoke with our correspondent. Members are also expected to use the platform and make referrals where businesses can be facilitated on trust and safety, and avoid the risk of exposing members to the current cyber-crime looming in the country where fraudsters take advantage of uninformed Nigerians.
The National President of the IMSUAA, Dr. Charles Nwosu (Porpor) led-administration, are looking forward to turning IMSUAA to a Business HUB, where members can thrive on each other on trust and with the hope of sustaining an Alumni-spirit, that can be equal to none.
