A Lagos-base semi professional side, Prince Kazeem Eletu suffered another shocking defeat against Franceex United in a friendly match held on Wednesday at the Maracana Stadium, Ajegunle,Lagos.
Yisa Azeez scored the winning goal at the added time after he capitalised on Eletu defensive error.
The defeat came as a shock to the coaching crew led by Isreal Adegolu. The commitment of the players during the match was not too impressive as Franceex boys had more ball possession and chances than Prince Kazeem Eletu boys at the entire duration.
Adegolu while speaking with our correspondent expressed disappointment with the performance of his boys and admitted that they played below expectations.
“It was a disappointing result and average performance against our opponents.I expected my boys to raise bar and play above average unfortunately the boys failed to deliver and I still need to work on the boys ahead of our subsequent friendly matches,”he said.
In his own remark,head coach of Franceex United,Kadir Abiodun admitted that the two teams played better but praised his boys for the victory achieved at the added time.
“It was a good match for us because this friendly match is part of our preparation for the forthcoming Nationwide League One, NLO.
“This victory would help us to do more in our league and I commend my boys for their resilience and fighting spirit exhibited throughout the encounter,”he said.
