Coach of Chekas United feeders, Okafor Chuks has revealed that his game plans really worked for him to secure a draw against Bucknor Football Club in week three of the ongoing Lagos State League.
Chekas United feeders came from behind to play 2-2 with Bucknor on Wednesday afternoon at the Isheri Primary School, Alimosho Lagos.
Chuks while chatting with our correspondent after the match admitted the toughness of the game but noted that his game plan was to win or draw the game.
“Our equaliser came at the added time though it was own goal but my boys kept pushing when they were down until our equaliser came at the right time.I came here to win or draw and achieved it.
“Bucknor are a good side, they played good football but my boys were tactically disciplined and followed my game plans on the field of play. We first scored them which was good for us and we got our equaliser last minute which was better as a visiting team,” he said.
Meanwhile, Oyewole Samson scored the opening goal for the Chekas boys and shortly after Azeez Mubarak fired a thunderous shot from outside box eighteen to give the homers equaliser.
Bucknor dominated the early part of the second half and made some goal attempts until their effort was rewarded by Micheal James who went for a rebound after a free kick was taken by Bucknor’s player.
A last-minute own goal by Amachi Okafor was Chekas United feeders needed to get equaliser secured a point in a highly tactical game.
