Defending Champions, Future Star 99 FC would begin its title defence on Friday against Rising Star by 3pm at the Sansan field playground, Igando, Alimosho, Lagos.
A total of 16 teams would battle for honours to determine the next champions of the tournament.
At the draws held recently,four teams were drawn in four groups and the best two in each group would qualify for the quarter final stage.
Addressing the team’s representatives at the draw ceremony,match coordinator, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi said this year’s edition would be better in terms of organisation and officiating and urged the coaches, players and club owners to abide by the rules governing the game.
He explained that the tourney is put together to keep the youth busy during the Ramadan period and admonished them once again to shun social vices that can bring the tourney into disrepute.
“The draws were held successfully and all the teams have known their opponents.It is starting on Friday and two matches would be played on the opening match.
“The committe has gone far to talk to the competent match officials and they have promised us to officiate all the matches throughout the competition.
“I also want to assure all the teams fair officiating and better organisation,”he said.
After the opening match on Friday,Supreme FC tackle Sterling FC by 4.45pm at the same venue.
Action resumes on Saturday as IGFC take on Absolute FC by
11a m,Super Accurate confront white soccer Temple by 2.45pm, while Bucknor FC battle Vs Sansan Bois by 4.45pm promises to be a tough match.
Two matches have lined up on Sunday as Pluto boys take on Sharp Striker by 11am, while Future Hero face Eid All Stars by 3pm.
