Agege Football Coaches Council, Lagos, has concluded plans to begin its programs in the year 2025 with the U-15 boys football championship scheduled for April.

The council executive members recently met and decided to organise a U-15 tournament as part of its events for the year 2025.

Vice Leader of the council, Dele Adetona, hinted to our correspondent that some club owners have begun to show interest in next month’s tournament.

“It was unanimously agreed by the executive council members to start our program this year with the U-15 boys football championship, and I am happy that some of our members who are retraining young boys are interested in the championship,” he said.

Adetona said other programmes that would be executed in 2025 are a women’s tournament in June, while the free age male tournament would begin in August.

He disclosed that Agege Football Coaches Council Day would come up in December, saying that this year’s coaches’ Day would be colourful and glamorous.

He, however, tasked the council members to uphold the ethics of the profession and always be a role model to their players on and off the pitch.
