Liam’s Height Sports Academy have started early preparation ahead of Badagry Divisional Football League which holds soon across designated centres around Badagry and its environs.
The Academy was set up last year by Azenabor Williams Christopher. Young players have been recruited into the academy and they are looking forward to play in the Badagry League and are aspiring to play professional football in Europe in the nearest future.
Liam’s Height Sports Academy played series of friendly matches last year before they went on Christmas and New Year break.
The Chairman of the Academy Azenabor Williams who spoke about the team’s preparation ahead of Badagry League said the players had resumed to training some weeks ago and they are ready to engage in top friendly matches to keep the players fit ahead of future football tournaments and scouting programmes.
“We just registered for the Badagry League and we have started preparation for the league by recruiting new players and as for the new coach that came in late last year he will be in charge of the training session and match situation.
“We have lined up some clubs that would engage in friendly matches and as from this week, we would start playing them to assess our players.
“The friendly matches will also help the coaching crew to prepare the players for tough matches in Badagry League and we are not coming to the league to make number rather to compete with the so-called big clubs in the league,” he said.
Meanwhile, the draws for Badagry League will hold on Saturday at the secretariat of Badagry Divisional Football Association BDFA.
