Management and staff of Madestone Sports Academy based in Ibadan, Oyo State were grateful to His Royal Majesty, Oba Michael Odunayo Ajayi, Arowotawaya II, the Elerinmo of Erinmo, Osun State, who visited the academy’s Akobo centre, Ibadan, Oyo State.
During his visit, the popular traditional ruler and his palace security officers were impressed with the academy organisation and the kids who were in training sessions with their coaches.
His Royal Majesty, Oba Michael Odunayo Ajayi, who watched the activities of the academy for some hours, offered prayers and gave words of encouragement to the kids and staff management led by Mr Tobi Olubiyi.
This is the first time a popular traditional ruler in Osun State visited Madestone Academy since its inception.
Speaking on the visit of traditional ruler, Chief Executive Officer of the Academy,T obi Olubiyi expressed heartfelt gratitude to His Royal Majesty, Oba Micheal Ajayi for his courtesy visit saying that his visit was a morale boost for the staff management and backroom staff.
He explained that his visit was a clear indication that the work being carried out by the staff management and coaching crew is highly appreciated and commended by traditional rulers.
He however urged the coaching crew, players and other team officials to continue the good work they have been doing saying that the management would continue to support the staff to achieve the team’s goals in the shortest time.
“Let me use this medium to extend my heartfelt gratitude to His Royal Majesty and his palace officers who took their time to visit us despite their tight schedule. I really appreciate this courtesy visit and it would serve as motivation for the management staff and backroom staff.
“Watching traditional rulers pray and offer encouragement for our talented kids and dedicated coaches gladdened my heart.
“It was also surreal watching His Royal Majesty observe the entire training session and inspire the kids with his wisdom afterwards.
“Moments like this remind us that our efforts in the academy are appreciated and commended by the traditional ruler in Osun State. Once again, I thank all the staff for their unwavering commitment and support to ensure that the academy achieves its targets within the shortest time,” he concluded.
