A semi professional club, Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club on Thursday morning advanced to the next stage of the Lagos State Challenge Cup.
Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club defeated Innovator FC 3-2 to qualify for the next stage of the tournament.
The pulsating encounter was kneely contested as both teams entertained fans with five goals thrillers.
Eletu two goals through Jude Obasi and Akeem Taofeeq in the first half were cancelled to bring the game to stalemate In the second half.
Eletu boys who appeared in the Lagos FA Cup for the first time got fans support at the FIFA legacy pitch of national stadium.
Habeeb Balogun penalty kick was all Prince Kazeem Eletu needed to score the winning goal and qualifed the team for the next stage of the tournament.
Team manager of Eletu boys, Eletu Muftau expressed delight with the outcome of the game and charged the players to continue remain focused in their next game
“It was a good outing for the team playing in the Lagos FA Cup for the first time and got a victory.The players were complacent at a point and we allowed our opponents to equalise us but I thank God that we eventually won to move to the next stage,”he said.
