The main sponsor of the 2024/25 edition of the Henry Nwosu Cup, Mr. Nacho Urewuji has backed the Umuakali Football Team by donating 12 pairs of boots for the players ahead of the tournament which begins on Saturday.
According to a statement issued by the head coach of the Umuakali Football Team, Mr. Paschal Ajoku on the official platform of the team comprising of players and football stakeholders in Umuakali on Thursday, the statement reads:
“Please be informed that I have received the 12 pairs of boots today as promised by NACHO UREWUJI” coach Ajoku started. “All the players are expected to be present at tomorrow’s training by 6am at L.A primary school to use the new boots for training based on your boots sizes”. He concluded.
Mr. Nacho Urewuji who hails from Umuakali made significant impact when he boosted this edition of the tournament by sponsoring it financially at the central stage and also donated six pairs of jerseys to the six participating teams in the annual football tournament.
His decision to donate boots to the Umuakali team is to intensify their preparations and also back his village so they can give a good account of themselves when the event kick-starts at Naze Secondary on Friday, December 20th, 2024.
The Umuakali Football Team who will be looking forward to bringing the trophy home will open their campaign when they face Ezekiri in their opener at Naze Secondary school on December 23rd, 2024.
