NYG: Bucknor Striker, Akinyemi Excited After Scoring Hat trick, Warns Other Opponents

Top striker of Bucknor Football Club of Ikeja, Wasiu Akinyemi has expressed delight after he netted hat trick against Eagles Stars Football Club of Ikorodu in week 8 of U-19 Nigeria Youth League.

Bucknor whitewashed Eagles Stars 6-2 in an encounter played on Wednesday at Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, Ogun State.

Akinyemi scored three goals in the eight goal thrillers. Akinyemi has scored six goals so far and he is one of the leading scorers in the league.

Shortly after the match, Akinyemi said he was happy to score three goals against their opponents boasting that he is in good form and ready to score more goals in their next game.

“It was a good outing for me and my colleagues.We controlled the game in the first half and got the goals we needed.This is best performance of Bucknor in the recent time and I wish we should continue in this form in our next match,”he said.

Akinyemi however thanked his coaching crew and his colleagues for their support to achieve his feat and warned his opponents to beware of Bucknor.

Bucknor would play against U-19 Sunshine FC next week in week nine at the Remo Stars Stadium.
