Head Coach of Sterling City Football Club, Jerry Abraham Ezealuaka has warned Sansan Boys Football Club to forget victory in their return leg in the ongoing Football Fiesta tournament taking place at proposed palace playground, Igando, Alimosho, Lagos.
Sansan boys defeated Sterling City FC 3-2 in the first leg opening match of the competition on Sunday and their return leg would come up in few days to come.
The competition is organised in an home and away format at one venue.
Speaking after the match, Ezealuaka commended his boys for their commitment and impressive performance despite their defeat.
He warned their opponents to prepare for war in the return leg boasting that his boys would book a ticket to the next stage of the tournament.
“It was a good result for us despite the fact we lost the game.We at away in this match and our return leg would be tough for Sansan boys.Sansan boys struggled to achieve this victory but let me sound note of warning that they should forget victory in return leg,”he said.
Action resumes today as Bora FC face Keep Fit FC by 1:45pm, while Rocky Stars battle Supreme FC by 3:45pm.
Match coordinator, Habeeb Bello expressed satisfaction with the opening match and urged the teams to always abide by the rules and regulations.
He said the core objective of the tournament is to keep the young players busy and engage the clubs around Alimosho and its environs prepare for their future bigger football tournaments in 2025.
