Ikeja Divisional Football Association, IDFA on Thursday kicked off its Super Six playoff to determine the true champions of 2024/25 league champions.
The super Six league playoff which held at the NAFRC sports center, Oshodi, Lagos saw two teams recorded victories in day one.
After concluding Ikeja DFA Super League which commenced two months ago in the division, two teams emerged in each group to qualify for the Super Six playoff.
In the opening match held yesterday, NAFRC FC lost 0-2 to Future Stars 99 Soccer Academy, while Diadem Stallions defeated Shuffle Select FC 1-0.
Three goals were recorded in day one of the league as the four teams gave a good account of themselves in their outings.
Chairman Ikeja DFA, Taiwo Alagbe who watched the two matches expressed satisfaction with the standard of the game by the teams and commended the match officials for the good officiating.
Action resumes next week Tuesday as Hephzibah face NAFRC by 10am, while Diadem Stallions tackle Vinod FA by 12noon.
On Thursday, Shuffle Select take on Vinod FA by 10 am, while Hephzibah battle Future Stars 99 by noon.
