At Nigeria Fintech Week, Maida Insists Collaborative Regulation Key To Driving Growth In Telecom Industry

The Executive Vice Chairman of Nigeria Commutations Commission (NCC), Dr. Aminu Maida has emphasized the importance of the Commission’s regulatory functions in the telecom sector of the Nigerian economy.

Dr. Maida delivered a keynote at this year’s Nigeria Fintech Week (NFW) where he spoke on the role of Smart Regulation in accelerating Africa’s inclusive growth.

The Nigeria Fintech Week 2024 was held from October 8 -10 at the prestigious Landmark Event Center in Lagos, Nigeria.

Independent News Express reports that Dr. Maida’s keynote emphasized how adaptable, innovation-friendly, and collaborative regulation is key to driving growth while safeguarding consumer interests.

Since its inception in 2017, the Nigeria Fintech Week (NFW) has experienced remarkable growth, establishing itself as a key event for financial and fintech professionals not just in Nigeria, but globally.
