Chairman Team360 Football Club of Lagos, Hamzat Hakeem still remained optimistic that his team would bounce back after their first defeat in the ongoing 1XBET Community Cup taking place at the Legacy pitch of national stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Team360 lost 1-3 to Dosu Joseph FC on Tuesday in an encounter watched by mammoth crowd.
Hakeem while speaking with our correspondent commended his boys for their resilience and doggedness exhibited against their opponents but noted that his boys failed to convert their chances which cost their defeat.
“It was not a bad start for us because we played a better side that has football pedigree in Lagos.My boys gave a good account of themselves but they were wasteful in front of goal.
“I hope the coaching crew has identified the problems in the team and it would be corrected before our next game,”he said.
Asked if his team can still make it to the next round, Hakeem said the the teams still have three matches to play and strongly believed to clinch one of the tickets for the next round.
“Having lost a first match does not mean we are out, although it is not good for a team to start a competition with a defeat but like i said before, we would bounce back,”he concluded.
