Captain of Eko Trinity Rugby Football Club, Nojimu Shukurat has promised that her club would bounce back from their defeat suffered in the ongoing Southern Conference of Nigeria Rugby League taking place in Lagos.
Eko Trinity Ladies lost to their arch rival, Lagos Bulls Rugby Football Club 8-20 in the women category of the league over the weekend at the CMS Grammar School, Bariga, Lagos.
Presently on the table, Lagos Rugby Ladies have eight points,while their opponents have four points after playing two matches each.
Nojimu who was not disappointed with the result said their game against Lagos Bulls was so tough and commended her teamates for giving their opponents a run for their money.
She attributed defeat as a result of their key players who were absent and emphasized that most of her teammates are new in the game of rugby.
“It was unfortunate that we did not win our opponents because we gave a good account of ourselves.Our key players who supposed to play this game were not around which cost our slim defeat.We would not give up but bounce back in our next game, “she said.
In her own comment, Captain of Lagos Bulls, Rukayat Bello expressed satisfaction with the result and thanked her teammates for the job well done.
