Ileya Cup Final: Ologbonla FC Emerge Champions After Defeating Sunshine Through Penalties

Ologbonla Football Club have emerged as champions of the just concluded Ileya soccer tournament which held recently at the Sansan football pitch, Igando, Alimosho, Lagos.

Ologbonla who came to the match venue with large supporters defeated Sunshine 5-3 on penalty shootout after 2-2 at the regulation time.

The final, which was witnessed by mammoth crowd, saw the two teams giving good accounts of themselves as no winner emerged during the entire duration.

During the award presentation, Sunshine Coach, Sodiq won best coach, while Oloyede Toheeb of Future Star 99 won highest goal scorer award.

Most valuable player of the tournament went to Junaid Taofeek of Ologbonla FC. Best Goal keeper of the tournament was given to Anderson James of sunshine FC

In other award, youngest best player went to Malik Isiaq of future Star 99 FC, while Lukmon Rasaq of Sunshine received best defender award as best refree went to Bashir Lawal.

Match coordinator, Prince Sulaimon Gbadamosi expressed his heartfelt gratitude to each and every one for their contributions to the success of the competition saying that this year’s tournament recorded a huge success.
