After playing three matches in the preliminary group stage, the best two in four groups have qualified for U-16 Star Youth Football League Super 8.
The league whick kicked off across centres in Ikorodu four weeks ago concluded recently as the eight teams qualified for the league super eight.
Four teams are in group of four, making 16 teams in total and the best two in each group booked a place for the super eight after their three matches in each group.
The teams that qualified are Prinhous FA, Deluxe FA, Simario FA, Kareem FA, Infinite FA, Paparazzi FA, Gracious Ayomiposi FA and Adosag FA.
One of the tournament directors, Adeyemi Taiwo confessed that the league had lived up to expectations in various centers and congratulated teams that qualified for the super eight.
“The league had recorded huge success because many players were discovered in the course of the league and secondly we were able to bring some teams to the limelight in Ikorodu.
“I am so impressed with player’s performance and the way they scored goals. This is to tell you that the league is competitive and teams that qualified for the super eight have done well in their matches, ” he said.
