The Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Lekan Fatodu has charged the commission’s coaches to continue in their efforts in the area of talent identification for more development in the sports ecosystem.
While engaging with the coaches at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Centre, Rowe Park, Yaba, Fatodu affirmed his passion for sports development, adding that coaches must do everything within their power to ensure the state continues to be at the Pinnacle in the sports industry and retain Lagos as the Sports hub in Nigeria.
He lauded the role of the technical personnel and their expertise across the disciplines, in contributing to the sporting excellence of the state where stars are being discovered and nurtured to the stardom.
He said, “You have done so well in terms of helping us to develop talents out of this wonderful city, despite some of the challenges you face on a daily basis.
“You have done so well by supporting sports development and growth of our talents in so many sporting areas”
He further stated that facilities are in place to enhance the capacity and strength of the athletes for their optimal development. ” We’ll try as much as possible to ensure that motivation is not depleted. We know that with your support, collaboration and trust, we will achieve greater things”.
Lagos will continue to develop sporting talents and rubbing each other heart to achieve greater goals.
