Nigeria ex International, Joseph Dosu has cautioned his players not to celebrate yet following 3-2 they recorded against FC Victor Agali in the first leg of the round of 16 of the ongoing Ex Internationals Cup taking place across centres in Lagos.
FC Dosu defeated FC Agali in away match and they need at least a draw in the return leg to book a place in the quarter final.
Speaking after the match, Dosu told our correspondent that his team have not qualified yet to the quarter final saying that their return leg would be a difficult match
“We are not there yet although we won our away match but we need to finish the work in the return leg.Look at what happened to FC Edema and his opponents, who thought FC Edema would have lost at home after playing draw at away so football can go either side.
“That is why I told my boys not to celebrate yet until when we win our return leg. I also commend them for coming back and won the game. This is to tell you that my boys are committed, dogged and remained focused,” he said.
Adetona Lekan opened the goal scoring for FC Agali in the early game before Jimoh Lekan added second goal.
But FC Dou who were resilient throughout the encounter quickly reduced the tally through Ayatu Akindele.
In the second half, the tempo of the game was high as away team were pushing for equaliser.A goal from Olurin Salami was FC Dosu needed to get equaliser in the 58th minutes and put the homers severe pressure.
The match lived up to expectations as both teams entertained their fans with for artistry. Dosu boys continued to raise their game as Olurin again got the winning goal in the 62nd minutes to send fans into wild jubilation.
