Some football clubs or academies that are participating in the ongoing week one Star Youth Football League in Ikorodu began their campaign on a good note.
Matches were played across the centres over the weekend as some clubs recorded big wins against their opponents.
In the conference D zone at the Zumuratu Islamiyah School, Igbogbo, Ikorodu, Kadesh FC went on rampage by defeating Hadel FA 6-0.Gracious Ayomiposi FC defeated Adosag FA 2-0,
At the conference C zone, Perfect Touch played 2-2 with Ad-Hoc FA, while Paparazzi lost 1-4 to Infinite FA.
In the conference B zone at the Imota Secondary School center, Simario walloped BTL FA 3-0 as Golden Lion FA lost 0-2 to Kareem FA.
In the conference A zone at the Ijede Stadium, Deluxe thrashed Sporting Soccer Academy 4-2, while Prinhous FA managed to beat Right To Smile FA Ablaze 1-0.
One of the tournament director, Kehinde Adeyemi expressed satisfaction with the maches played across the centres and commeded the teams for the spirit of sportsmanship exhibited throughout their league matches.
