JOF U-13 Cup Final: HB Utility Coach Relishes Team’s Success As Latoyam Win Third-Place Match

Head Coach of HB Utility Football Academy of Ilupeju, Emmanuel Akanni was in cloud nine after his team emerged as champions of the just concluded JOF U-13 Football Competition.

HB Utility walloped Zamadek Football Academy 3-0 in the final watched by mammoth crowd on Sunday at the Sports Complex, University Of Lagos.

Akanni after the encounter, boasted that his boys deserved the victory, but admitted that it was a tough game for the both side.

He also commended his boys for their fighting spirit throughout the encounter and dedicated the victory to his players and fans who contributed immensely to the team’s success.

“It was a good match for us because we came out victorious. Our early goal really helped us to win the game and I must commend my players for their commitment and I also congratulate my boys for this hard fought victory,” he said.

In the third-place match, Latoyam Academy defeated Strong Dove Academy 1-0 to win the third place match.

The long competition was sponsored by JOF Nigeria Limited under the leadership of Segun Olugboyegun.

During the cup presentation, HB Utility went home with the sum of N750,000 with a giant trophy, while Zamadek pocketed the sum of N500,000. The third and fourth positions received N350,000 and N250,000 respectively.
