The 2024 Mainland Schools Cup organised by Kidsport in conjunction with NexStar Sports end on Tuesday, with the semi-finals and the finals taking place at the Obele Mini Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.
The tournament, which is being supported by KingMakers, a leading Sports and Digital Entertainment platform in Africa, and Prioriserv Consult Ltd., an indigenous engineering project management agency kicked off on Friday, with 8 schools from the Lagos Mainland participating in a knockout-styled tournament. The schools represented include Princeton, Glittering Gate, Government College, Igbobi Boys, Fountain School, Zumuratyl Islamiyah, Las Vegas School and Baptist Academy.

“It is our joy to continue working on creating tournaments that fosters partnerships and competition between schools, private and public. We have seen the children and the coaches form relationships through this tournament and we believe this serves as an alternative form of education.” Kidsport’s Founder, Bukola Alabi said.
Nexstar sports co-founder, Ope Adu said “The aim of this and the subsequent editions of this tournament is to create an ecosystem where talents in different sports can be discovered and developed.”
The final ceremony will be witnessed by important dignitaries in the society and lawmakers from the Surulere LGA.
