Coach of Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club of Lagos, Israel Adegolu has charged his boys to wake from their slumbers following their defeat they suffered against Dannaz Football Club in a recent friendly match played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena popularly known as Onikan Stadium.
Eletu boys lost 3-4 to dannaz FC and also lost 1-3 to Ojodu City a week ago.The defeats is giving Adegolu something to worry about and admonished the players to go for the victory in their subsequent matches.
He explained that their last friendly match against Dannaz FC was not too good especially in area of goal scoring.
He disclosed that his boys were not clinical in the front of goal and frowned at the uncoordinated defence which gave their opponents to score more goals in the encounter.
“I think the boys need to wake up from their slumbers after we suffered two defeats within a week. Our problem is goal scoring and we created a lot of scoring chances but we were unable to convert them which our opponents did.
“We deserved to win Dannaz in our last friendly match but due to our poor finishing, our opponents seized the opportunity and utilised it well.Like i said the boys need to wake from their slumbers and back to the business fully so that we can begin to win convincingly in our subsequent games,”he said.
In his own assessment Dannaz Coach, Sossou Michael said it was a tough match for him and commended his boys for their fighting spirit and commitment throughout the encounter.
“It was not an easy match for us. We played against a good side which gave us a tough battle but i thank God that we scored late goal to seal our victory. We used this match to prepare for our NLO league and we would continue to work on the grey area we have identified, and we are going to correct it before the starting of the league,” he said.
