Team Nigeria Grab First Boxing Gold At All African Games

Nigeria’s Ojo Joy Nene has given Nigeria her first boxing gold medal at the ongoing 13th Africa Games in Accra, Ghana.


She performed the feat at the Bukom Boxing Arena, Accra, this afternoon through a walkover when her Algerian opponent, Selmoun Chahira refused to show up for their women’s 57kg bout.


Nine other Nigerians already listed for the finals will be hopping to achieve same when the climb the ring this Friday evening.
