Lagos FA Cup: Chekas United Boss Jittery Ahead Of Clash With Ajunwa FC

Chairman of Chekas United Football Club, Uzoegbo Chekwube says he is worried that his team would confront impressive Ajunwa Football Club in the first round of the ongoing Lagos State Challenge Cup popularly known as Lagos FA Cup.

The pulsating encounter would hold on Wednesday by 2pm at the Alade Sport stadium, Ipaja Command, Alimosho, Lagos.

Reacting to the fixtures, Chekwube told our correspondent on Monday morning that he is not happy to see his club and Ajunwa clashing in the first round but charged his coaching crew and players to go to the field and do their best.

“Mr Journalist if I tell you that I am happy about the fixture, I am lied. The two teams based in the same division, and we know each other very well. Unfortunately, we are meeting on Wednesday in Lagos FA Cup.

“Honestly Ajunwa current form is good, and I prefer to meet them in round of 16 or quarter final. What can we do is to honour the match and I told my coaching crew and players to give their best and whatever the outcome, I would accept it in good faith. I wish my players all the best,” he said.
