Following the success of Lagos Supremacy Cup that saw Dino SC emerged as the winners, the European football scouts who were in attendance during the scouting football competition had selected best twelve players that would be invited for trials in Europe as from first quarter of next year.
Tournament cordinator, Liameed Olawale Gafar in a statement confirmed that after zoom-meetings with the scouts/agents and sporting directors, they finally requested for videos of 11 full matches.
“This request enabled them collectively finally came to conclusion of 12 players being selected and i am happy that these selected players would go for trials in Europe by early next year,”he said.
Among the 12 selected players are Ogonna Okoro from Dino FC,Charles Agada from Mavlon FC,Okeke Ozor Victor from Tripple 44 FC,Oladeji Israel Ayodeji from Tripple 44 FC,Musa Abdulmalik from Imperial FC.
Others are Olatunji Abdulmaleek from Imperial FC,Peter Kareem from Imperial FC,Yusuf Salau from Imperial FC,Terhide Moses from Broad City FC,Daniel Idoko from Ikorodu City,Mohamed Bangoura from 36 Lion FC and Soumah Mohamed from 36 Lion FC.
Gafar also explained that the Lagos Supremacy Cup is not only served as a scouting football tournament for European clubs and other clubs outside the country,it is also served as Nigerian professional club sides.
“The core concept of The Lagos Supremacy Cup is to serve as an incubator or a platform where players can be selected for NPFL, NNL and NLO clubs;it also served as an avenue for European clubs and other clubs outside Nigeria.In addition the Lagos Supremacy Cup is also served for our various national teams with the end result for the boys to eventually play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria,” he concluded.
A total of 12 teams took part in the Lagos Supremacy Cup whuch won by Dino SC.
