Executive league management committee of the ongoing Alimosho Football Coaches Council U-16 League has fined Bucknor junior team following its involvement in player’s license forgery recently.
The league commiittee observed that two of Bucknor players licensed were changed and replaced by unregistered players during their home match against B-United recently which violates the rules and regulations.
Despite the appeal of the Bucknor management, the organisers still reduced the club punishments to serve as deterrent to others and ensure that the league is standardized and sanitised.
After thorough delibrations, the league management commiittee decided to fine Bucknor for bringing the league into disrepute.
The commiittee agreed that Bucknor junior team shall pay the fine of #45,000. Their league registration balance of #10,000 and their caution fees debt of #3,100 should be paid on or before friday 10th November 2023 to continue in the league.
In addition,they shall have a two points deduction, as a sligthest punishment for using the said players in their last two games.
According to committee,those two players involved, Augustine Victor, who bears Omotolani as a name on the player’s license has been banned for one year in all Alimosho Football Coaches Council league, while Yinka Rasaq has been banned only till the end of this season.
Bucknor junior team coach, Idowu Omotosho , who is confirmed to be the main culprit, is hereby banned from participating in any Alimosho Coaches League activities for one year( Till 1st November 2024), while the Organisers still waiting further actions on him from Bucknor FC.
The league cordinator, Toyin Shoyemi announced that all clubs are warned henceforth not to use any unaffiliated coach during games and urged the coaches to abide by the rules of the game.
Responding, the Bucknor management had accepted the punishments and promised that the club would continue to work with the rules guiding the league.
Some league matches were played at the weekend, Divine FA suffered 0-5 against Samjason, Future Stars lost 1-2 to Sammy FA and Fit2live played 2-2 with B-United,
