After leading Samjason Football Club to win the recent TREM Cup in Lagos, Oluwatosin Folorunsho had penned two years deal with Togolese premier club, Gbikinti FC de basser.
This was revealed by Chairman of Samjason, Samuel Uchenna Eke while chatting with our correspondent at the team’s training ground on Monday.
Eke disclosed that Folorunsho was spotted in Lagos and he was invited by the club officials for trials.
“Folorunsho was invited by the Togolese club.During his trials, he did well and Gbikinti FC de basser agreed to give him two years contract which is a good start for the young player who still have future ahead of him,”he said.
Eke also disclosed that the 20 years old defender is yet to make his debut for the Togolese club saying that he had sustained injury during the club pre season matches.
“The Togolese league is just started unfortunately Folorunsho has injury which stopped him to make his debut for his club. When I spoke to my player recently, he told me that he was getting better and soonest he would make his first appearance for the club,” he said.
Eke who doubles as team manager of the club described Folorunsho a very disciplined and talented player who can go places in his football career.
“Folorunsho started his football with us at the age of 15 in year 2018.Alhough he played for Sammy Football Academy before he came to us.
“I am happy that he has started professional football career in Togo, and we should not forget that Togo is a football playing nation and the country had qualified for Africa nations cup before. Honestly, I am happy for Folorunsho and i wish him best of luck in his professional career,” he concluded.
