The third edition of Baale Oki Kingdom Challenge Cup has concluded recently in Lagos as teams from various categories emerged as champions.
In the final decided at the Oki primary School, Alaguntan, Iyana-Ipaja, Fantastic defeated Heritage 1-in the U-10 category. In the U-13 category, Schimichin also humbled The Lord Favour 1-0 to emerge as champions.
In U-15 category, Schimichin also defeated Fackson 5-4 on penalties after barren draw at the regulation time.
Meanwhile, SGH Queens pip Unification Queens 1-0 to emerge winners in the female category. Fackson also defeated Future Image 7-6 on penalties after goalless draw in full time.
Tournament cordinator, Azeez Badiru expressed gratitude to God for the success of the competition and thanked the cup donor,High Chief Adedayo Badeyemi Oki (Baale Oki kingdom) for his financial and moral support given tje organisers throughout the tournament.
“I am happy for the winners in the various categories. They worked hard, and they deserved to be crowned as champions. I believe that the next edition would be better than this,” he said.
