Ali Odunuga goal in the 89th minutes was General Hospital Lagos football team needed to defeat Mainland General Hospital football team 2-1 in the final of Health Service Commission Inter Hospital football tournament which held on Tuesday afternoon at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena formally known as Onikan Stadium.
The pulsating encounter which started with a lot of expectations saw Mainland hospital opened the goal scoring through Ahmed Liasu in the early game.
The goal spurred players of General hospital Lagos to increase the tempo of the game as their effort was rewarded when Jubril Ayoade equalised for his team to send their fans into wild jubilation in the 6th minutes
The final was which was watched by the permanent secretary of commission, Dr Ademuyiwa Eniayewun and other senior officers saw both teams gave a good account of themselves.
General hospital Lagos were better in the second half as Odunuga late strike gave his team the hard fought victory over their oppenents.

In the female final played earlier, ABAT/Ajeromi General hospital defeated Ifako-Ijaiye General hospital 2-0 to emerge as champions.
In the third-place match male category played, Zone 5 football team defeated Ifako-Ijaiye General hospital 4-2 on penalty shootout after two goals apiece at the regulation time.
