Going by its tradition to ensure the state’s teams are adequately prepared for national championships, the Lagos State Sports Commission is more than set for the Southwest Elimination Championship for the National Youth Games 2023.
The Southwest elimination series for ball games for the youth games holds on Ibadan, Oyo State at Ilaji Sports and resort Center, Akanran from 16-18 August.

They have the likes of Osun, Oyo, Ekiti, Ogun, and Ondo states to contend with at the qualifying series holding in Ibadan before picking ticket to the Games proper in Delta State.
Meanwhile, U-15 handball trials to select players for the zonal tournament is currently ongoing at the Rowe Park Sports Centre, Yaba, Lagos.
