Lagos City Cup: Eletu Coach Rues Loss In Final, ‘My Players Did Their Best’

Coach of Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club, Israel Adegolu has commended his players for their brilliant performance displayed throughout the Lagos City soccer competition.

Eletu Tuesday evening lost 0-1 to 36 Lion FC in the Lagos City Cup final which was played at the Onikan Stadium.

Eletu were a delighted to watch as they impressed the entire Lagos football fans with their performance at the Onikan Stadium.

Adegolu, while reacting to the defeat, said he would continue to commend his players for their doggedness and fighting spirits exhibited throughout the competition, saying that their opponents were unlucky to have won the game.

“It was a good outing for us.This is the first time we play high profile football competition in the state and we were able to reach the final.This is to tell you that we are not a pushover team in the state.

“I must commend my players because they gave all their best throughout the tournament. We won the so called big teams in the competition, unfortunately, we lost in the final which was very painful to our fans. We thank the organisers for inviting us to this tournament and we would continue to remember this tourney for years to come,” he said.
